Headshots & Professional Business Portraits {Calgary & Sylvan Lake Headshots}

March 9th, 2012

In the fall, most my business is family portraits…understandably. It seems that this time of year is ‘Headshot season’. In the fall, most my business is family portraits…understandably. It seems that this time of year is ‘Headshot season’. I am getting tons of inquiries for headshots and professional portraits, so I thought I’d put all the info in a blog post!

Headshots are easy. If you come to the studio, it usually takes 15-20 minutes. I can have the images up on the blog within 24 hours, and when you chose them, I can email them right to you; often resulting in a 48 hour (or less) turnaround.

If you have an entire office or group of people that need professional portraits, I can come to you. In very little space (often a boardroom will work) I can set up my equipment and can tskr portrsitd for up to 50 people in less than 3 hours. Turnaround for larger groups is 5-7 days.

If less than 5 images are purchased, I email them to you immediately. For 6 or more images, you will receive a disk.

Prices for headshots can be seen here.

Dana and I went to highschool together. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and has great teeth. Random? No! She is an Orthodontist…so it’s only fitting! She came and met me at my home studio for a few headshots, and we had a great catch-up session too! She is another [...]

She came and met me at my home studio for a few headshots, and we had a great catch-up session too! She is another great Woman, with a lot of amazing qualities I hope my daughters have when they grow up. Not to mention the education. I love it when people like this come into my life (again), who I can spend time with and tell my daughters about. She is a shining example of “get your education, THEN settle down”. Not like I regret settling down…I don’t…but I want my daughters to know there are other options. And my son. If the hockey dream doesn’t pan out.

Dana, it was wonderful seeing you again, and can’t wait to see the new picture on your website and on the clinic wall!

Shane Byciuk and I go WAY back. Way back to Woodbine Elementary School, way back to the (early) 80′s. Thanks to the World Wide Web, we reconnected via Facebook and Twitter. And he works, and has a new baby! Busy guy!

He came to my studio last week for some headshots to use on his blogs, and this is what we got!
It was awesome to see you Shane…a blast from the past for sure!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Twitter? You start following a friend, and then people who follow them start following you. This is how I ‘cyber-met’ Jillian. Have I ever mentioned how much I love Twitter? You start following a friend, and then people who follow them start following you. This is how I ‘cyber-met’ Jillian. She is full of ambition, humour, and embodies every quality you would want your daughter to have (I recently told her if I had a million bucks, I’d hire her to teach my daughters to be exactly like her).

Remember her name, because she’ll make Calgary proud one day (she already is, actually).

Jillian needed headshots for “Focus 2040″, a national business competition being organized by the Strategic Capability Network and McMaster University. She recently placed in the Top 10 (across CANADA) and was invited to participate in the next phase, predicting the future of the work environment. What can she win? Oh, just an internship with BPI Group in Paris!

Without further ado, here are some shots of the lovely Jillian Walker. Follow her on Twitter (@walkerjill), and join her Facebook page.
